Note
On Android devices if you want to do GPS recordings with the screen off, you will need
to update the location permissions for the FireMapper app to Allow all the time via the
Android Settings app. This can only be done from the Android settings app due to security
limitations of the Android operating system. These steps apply to Android 10 and higher. If
this is not configured correct, GPS recordings will be paused when the FireMapper application
is in the background or if the screen if turned off during a gps track recording.
Open the Android Settings App.
Go to Apps or Applications page
Go to FireMapper Enterprise page
Go to Permissions page for FireMapper Enterprise.
Select Location permission and change it to Allow all the time. This will allow FireMapper
Enterprise to access your location when the app is in the background. This is required if you want
to record a GPS track while you are using other apps on your phone or the screen is turned off.
