Map Properties
The Map Properties screen allows you to edit the metadata for your map.
Map Name
Name of the current map.
You can only edit the map name for private maps. The map name field is read-only for shared maps after they are created.
Map Description
Additional description for a map.
You can only edit the map description for private maps. Map description is not available for shared maps.
This notes are included in the exported kml, kmz and gpx files.
Shared Maps can contain a combination of private and shared features; a private feature is a feature that has been added but not synchronised, and is therefore not accessible by other users.
All features on a shared map are listed here, with their synchronisation status. Just like on the shared map, green features indicate successful sync, and yellow indicates a sync in progress.
