Map Properties

The Map Properties screen allows you to edit the metadata for your map.

  • Map Name: The name of the current map. You can only edit the map name for private maps. The map name field is read-only for shared maps after they are created.

  • Map Type: This can only be modified via the FireMapper Portal for Shared Maps. Please see the Portal Shared Maps documentation for more information.

  • Activity List: All changes to the map are listed here, with their synchronisation status. Just like on the shared map, green features indicate successful sync, and yellow indicates a sync in progress.

    Note

Shared Maps can contain a combination of private and shared features if Auto Sharing has been disabled. A private feature is a feature that has been added but not shared, and is therefore not accessible by other users.

Offline Base Layers

Small regions of base maps can be downloaded for offline use. This allows users to access map data without an internet connection. Read more here.

Exporting Maps

Maps can be exported to share with other users or for backup purposes. This is useful for creating a copy of the map that can be shared or stored externally. Read more here.
