FireMapper Enterprise iOS Setup

These instructions are for setting up FireMapper Enterprise on an Apple iPhone or iPad device.

Note

The non-cellular models of the iPad do not contain a GPS receiver. They use nearby networks Wi-fi networks to determine your location. While this may work well for determining your location indoors, they will not be able to determine your location outdoors away from Wi-Fi.

If you are purchasing an iPad for use with FireMapper, we highly recommend you purchase the cellular model (which includes the in-built GPS receiver).

If you already have a non-cellular iPad, you can buy an external Bluetooth GPS receiver (such as the Garmin GLO2, Bad Elf, etc) that will allow to view your location on the iPad.

  1. Download the FireMapper Enterprise application from the iTunes App Store. There are two versions on the iTunes store, make sure you download the Enterprise version.
